Favorite DJing Experience: Back when I was in high school, I was hired to DJ my senior banquet at the end of the year. I was especially nervous for this event because all my classmates were going to be there and the whole night was in my hands! My reputation was at stake! Well, needless to say, it was unbelievable and one of the best nights of my career. The dance floor was packed the entire night and the crowd was off the hook…..I got quite a few shout outs and compliments! At one point in the night they made me get out from behind the booth and get on the dance floor, I’ll remember that night for the rest of my life.
About Kent Bloms:There’s a funny story behind how Kent was added to the staff. Kent Bloms moved to North Carolina from North Dakota in 2004 leaving behind a DJ and nightclub business. When he got married a year later and needed a DJ, guess who he called? That’s right, Joe Bunn. One thing lead to another and a few months after their wedding, Kent realized the “DJ bug” had bitten again and he wanted to get back into the business. The rest, as they say, is history. Wow, that is cliche.Kent has been DJ’ing for clubs, parties, and weddings since 1998. Along with DJ’ing he runs Classic Carolina Photobooths, Inc., is a high school business teacher, and also coaches JV basketball. In his 10 minutes per day of free time he enjoys spending time with his 2 boys and playing basketball and baseball.Kent adds, “My wife and I moved here in June 2004, and got married in April 2005. Trying to find the right disc jockey was very important to us. I did the necessary research and wherever I turned, Joe Bunn DJ Company was right there. Kent (our DJ) is phenomenal at his job. There were some big changes that had to take place the day of the wedding, but we felt completely comfortable with Kent in control, which was such a relief.
