Party is all I can say about this wedding!

The wedding ceremony was held on the front porch of the beautiful huge white plantation house. After the ceremony guests made their way inside for the cocktail hour and to get away from the 95-degree heat.

The Introductions

After pics were taken by Chris, the guests made their way to the bottom floor where I was set up for dinner and dancing. They found their seats and I introduced the wedding party that all had a funny dance in. They lined up in front of me and got ready for Alysha & Ryan’s entrance. They came into thunderous applause and had their first dance followed by a welcome from Alysha’s father. The buffet opened and I played a mix of standards, soft rock, country, and classic soul. I even played a couple of Avett Brothers songs.

The Cake Pull

After dinner, we had toasts and a “cake pull” before the cake cutting where each bridesmaid pulled a charm from the bottom of the cake for a fortune. A couple of girls found out they are having babies! LOL.

The Dancing

After the cake cutting, we had parents’ dances and opened the floor with some Motown and top 40 that filled it within a minute! Even the King Of Pop with gourmet popsicles in the hall couldn’t keep people from filling the dance floor all night. They danced to oldies, top 40, hip-hop, country, and even some 2000s pop hits. Alysha loves Britney!!

We ended the night with “Piano Man”, “Friends In Low Places” and finally “Sweet Caroline” before their sparkler exit.

This was one of my favorite weddings and not one I, or the guests, will soon forget!

DJing is more than just showing up and pressing play. It’s also more than just knowing how to choose songs and mix them together. Begin a wedding DJ is about creating experiences and atmospheres. That’s what our DJing philosophy boils down to. We don’t want to just provide the perfect music. We want to create the perfect day. That’s why we excel in what we do. And this wedding was a perfect example of that. Working with this awesome couple to create the day they envisioned is something we’ll never forget. And it’s a service we provide all our Richmond Weddings again and again.
