Taylor and Stephen’s reception and the ceremony took place and the “castle” in Angier, NC called Barclay Villa. The day began with a ceremony that almost didn’t happen outside. The rain just would not go away, but finally, a window opened up and they were able to get married outside. We provided the audio. Not only did we do the microphone on the officiant, but we also mic’d two musicians and three of their friends that sang Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” in the middle of the ceremony. Whew! Lots of work, but we pulled it off!
After the ceremony, guests made their way to the other side of the house and inside for cocktails. After cocktail hour, it was time for the introductions using Bruno Mars’ song “Marry You”. As soon as Stephen and Taylor made their way down the grand staircase, they went into their first dance-a medley that we created of “Tennessee Whiskey” by Chris Stapleton and “That Girl” by Justin Timberlake. Everyone loved it! Next, Taylor and her dad danced to “Cinderella” by Steven Curtis Chapman. Stephen and his mom were up next and danced to “You’ll Be In My Heart” by Elton John. The bride’s father welcomed everyone, a friend blessed the food and then the buffet began.
As dinner wrapped up, there was a champagne toast and cake cutting (“Sugar”-Maroon 5) and finally, it was time to dance! They picked a ton of awesome early 2000s hip hop songs, so I was in heaven rocking those. The only time there was a break was for the bouquet (“Single Ladies” by Beyonce) and garter (“Straight Up & Down” by Bruno). More dancing and then to close out the night, NSync’s classic “Bye Bye Bye”. What a party! I can’t wait to see the pictures from Warren McCormack! Shout out to Jennifer V. for doing a great job with the planning and execution.

DJing is more than just showing up and pressing play. It’s also more than just knowing how to choose songs and mix them together. Begin a wedding DJ is about creating experiences and atmospheres. That’s what our DJing philosophy boils down to. We don’t want to just provide the perfect music. We want to create the perfect day. That’s why we excel in what we do. And this wedding was a perfect example of that. Working with this awesome couple to create the day they envisioned is something we’ll never forget. And it’s a service we provide all our Raleigh Weddings again and again.
