Hannah and Chris had their ceremony and reception at one of my favorite venues this last Saturday, The Pavilions at the Angus Barn. After a week straight of horrible weather, the sun finally made it’s way out and the day couldn’t have been more perfect. The ceremony started just as the sun was beginning to set and it was perfect. I did the music and the officiant’s mic, and it went perfectly. Great start to the day.

Cocktails wrapped and we got the wedding party lined up for their intros. The flower girl and their dog Groucho entered first to the sounds of Petey Pablo’s anthem “Raise Up”. When it finally came to Chris and Hannah coming in, I hit the hot cue button to the part in the song where he goes, “Who am I?!!” and then dropped out his line and I said, “The newlyweds Chris and Hannah!!!”. The place went nuts. They then went into their first dance to “My Best Friend” by Tim McGraw. Hannah and her dad danced next to “What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong. Her dad then gave a nice welcome and toast followed by her grandmother’s blessing. Finally it was time for dinner! This is the best food in the wedding game and I got to eat, yay!

As dinner wrapped, they cut their cake to “Birthday Cake” by Rihanna, and then four people gave great toasts. Next up, time to dance. About halfway through my opening song, folks started dancing and didn’t stop for over two hours. The only quick break was for the bouquet toss (“Wannabe” by Spice Girls).

The night closed out with “Shout”, “We Found Love” by Rihanna and “Party in the USA” by Miley Cyrus. We then set them outside to a shower of sparklers. What a night. Can’t wait to see the photos from Amanda and Grady ( filling in for Ginny Corbett who had beautiful twin girls just a couple of days before). I know Phil and Lucy from Twenty One Films are going to create magic too!

DJing is more than just showing up and pressing play. It’s also more than just knowing how to choose songs and mix them together. Begin a wedding DJ is about creating experiences and atmospheres. That’s what our DJing philosophy boils down to. We don’t want to just provide the perfect music. We want to create the perfect day. That’s why we excel in what we do. And this wedding was a perfect example of that. Working with this awesome couple to create the day they envisioned is something we’ll never forget. And it’s a service we provide all our Raleigh Weddings again and again.
