I’m not sure how they pulled it off, but somehow Abhi and Catherine were able to have an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour last Friday at Fearrington. I say this because honestly it has been raining in NC for a month! They must have paid someone off. We were dodging raindrops all day, but it happened! I provided the audio for the ceremony and it went perfectly. I then rushed over to the barn patio where the cocktail hour was beginning. I started some tunes there and then hustled back over to get my ceremony gear before the rain came again! That was a lot of work, but so worth it, and I was so happy they got to get married outside.
After cocktails, the guests made their way into the beautifully decorated barn and waited for the newlyweds to make their entrance. I announced just the couple vs. the entire bridal party into the room, and the place went bananas as the sounds of Michael Buble’s “Everything” played in the background. Once they hit the dance floor, they went into their well choreographed dance to UB40’s version of “Can’t Help Falling in Love”. Wow! They were great dancers! After the father of the bride welcome and the blessing, the dinner was served. I was able to eat quickly in the back, and the steak was on point!
After dinner, it was time for some great toasts, and then the father/daughter dance to “You Are so Beautiful” by Joe Cocker. Next, Abhi and his mother danced to “Unforgettable” and in the middle we invited all of the mothers and sons and fathers and daughters to join them on their dance. I liked that! We started the party after that and the only time we took a pause was for the cake cutting. I kept folks out on the dance floor all night with music from just about every genre possible. What a mix, what a night! My iPhone photos don’t do it justice. Can’t wait to see the ones from Krystal Kast! Congrats Catherine and Abhi!!!
DJing is more than just showing up and pressing play. It’s also more than just knowing how to choose songs and mix them together. Begin a wedding DJ is about creating experiences and atmospheres. That’s what our DJing philosophy boils down to. We don’t want to just provide the perfect music. We want to create the perfect day. That’s why we excel in what we do. And this wedding was a perfect example of that. Working with this awesome couple to create the day they envisioned is something we’ll never forget. And it’s a service we provide all our Raleigh Weddings again and again.
