Amanda and Tyler had both their wedding ceremony and reception in the historic Stockroom at 230. The ceremony was short and sweet (in fact, they have been married for 2 years already, but wanted to have a killer reception, which they did!). I played “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran for the processional, “Touch the Sky” by Hillsong United for the communion, and then “Magic” by Coldplay for the recessional. Awesome choices, perfect ceremony!

After the ceremony, guests had a few cocktails as the bridal party went outside onto Fayetteville St. for photos. Once they came back up, it was time for the introductions to “Thrift Shop” by Macklemore.  As Tyler and Amanda hit the dance floor, everyone went wild! They went right into their first dance “They Bring Me To You” by Joshu Radin (another great choice). A few folks gave toasts, and then the amazing buffet by Empire Eats opened up. After everyone got their fill, it was party time!

They didn’t want a cake cutting, bouquet or garter and only had a couple of requests. As requested, I opened with the classic sing-a-long “American Pie” by Don McLean and then went right into the new Timberlake song “Can’t Stop the Feeling”. From that point forth, it was a non-stop dance party. I announced the after-party and sent them on their way around 10pm. Wow, what a great reception! Congrats to Tyler and Amanda Take 2!!!

DJing is more than just showing up and pressing play. It’s also more than just knowing how to choose songs and mix them together. Begin a wedding DJ is about creating experiences and atmospheres. That’s what our DJing philosophy boils down to. We don’t want to just provide the perfect music. We want to create the perfect day. That’s why we excel in what we do. And this wedding was a perfect example of that. Working with this awesome couple to create the day they envisioned is something we’ll never forget. And it’s a service we provide all our Raleigh Weddings again and again.
