Friday night was the start of my 3 wedding in 3 nights marathon and this one was a great kick-off! Renee and Mike were married out in the Umstead Hotel’s courtyard and for the music they had an amazing singer do a rendition of “Come Away with Me” by Norah Jones that was killer as Renee walked down the aisle. I just played the music for the seating of the guests and her recessional (“Trumpet Tune in D”).

As the ceremony ended, guests came upstairs to the patio for drinks and passed apps where I had a remote speaker playing great stuff for cocktail hour. Once everyone made their way into the ballroom and had a seat, I introduced the bridal party and then the couple made their entrance to “Ready Set Roll” by Chase Rice. Everyone was so excited when they hit the dance floor for their first dance “You” by Chris Young. Renee then danced with her dad to “Cinderalla” by Steven Curtis Chapman and Mike and his mother danced to “What a Wonderful World”.

Dinner was served and it was awesome! Afterwards, we knocked out the toasts and cake and then it was party time! We only stopped briefly for the bouquet toss (“This One’s For the Girls” by Martina McBride) and the garter toss (“Ignition Remix” by R. Kelly). We rocked until 11:30 as hard as we could! What a great start to the weekend! Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Hay. I can’t wait to see the photos from Richard Barlow and video from F8 in Motion. Shout out to Raleigh Dream Events for the lighting.

DJing is more than just showing up and pressing play. It’s also more than just knowing how to choose songs and mix them together. Begin a wedding DJ is about creating experiences and atmospheres. That’s what our DJing philosophy boils down to. We don’t want to just provide the perfect music. We want to create the perfect day. That’s why we excel in what we do. And this wedding was a perfect example of that. Working with this awesome couple to create the day they envisioned is something we’ll never forget. And it’s a service we provide all our Raleigh Weddings again and again.
