Courtney and Jonathan’s Barn Wedding
The Introductions & First Dance
Courtney and Jonathan’s Chapel Hill Carriage House wedding was awesome! It started with an introduction to Pink’s “Raise Your Glass”, followed by “Marry You” by Bruno Mars as the couple entered the barn area. They went right into their first dance (I always recommend that) to “Someone Like You” by Van Morrison. Next, Jonathan and his mother danced to “The Way You Look Tonight” by Frank Sinatra.
Next, Courtney’s mother welcomed everyone and Jonathan’s mother gave a nice blessing. Next up was the Beau show where the owner of Beau Catering comes out and gives the crowd a rundown of what kind of food is coming out! And trust me, it was killer, as usual!
After dinner, we had a couple of great toasts, cut the cake, and then it was on to open dancing. The couple had picked some great songs and I ripped through them. We did a quick anniversary dance to “Still Crazy After All These Years” by Paul Simon, but it was pretty much just hits all night. The highlight was Jonathan killing a dance to “Pony” by Ginuwine! The evening ended with a big sparkler departure! I can’t wait to see the photos from Caroline Lima! Shout out to Kast Events for doing another amazing job keeping things organized and flowing so well!

DJing is more than just showing up and pressing play. It’s also more than just knowing how to choose songs and mix them together. Begin a wedding DJ is about creating experiences and atmospheres. That’s what our DJing philosophy boils down to. We don’t want to just provide the perfect music. We want to create the perfect day. That’s why we excel in what we do. And this wedding was a perfect example of that. Working with this awesome couple to create the day they envisioned is something we’ll never forget. And it’s a service we provide all our Raleigh Weddings again and again.
