The Cocktail Hour
Mark and Molly’s wedding reception took place at the amazing Cotton Room in Durham last weekend. The guests arrived around 6:30 for cocktails. After about an hour, the curtains partitioning off the room were pulled back to reveal the rest of the reception space. Once again, Fresh Affairs knocked it out of the park! Look at these amazing centerpieces! Talk about the “wow factor”. In addition, we had 16 of our up lights around the room set to the most popular color, amber. The room couldn’t have looked better.
The Wedding Reception
The bridal party entered to “Forever” by Chris Brown and then went right into their first dance “Wonderful Tonight” by Eric Clapton. A great start to the night. The father of the bride gave a nice welcome, the blessing was said, and then the family style dinner was served. The food looked amazing! After dinner was the cake cutting, toasts, and then parent dances. Molly and her dad danced to “Too Much Heaven” by The Bee Gees and Mark and his mom danced to “Mom” by Garth Brooks. After that, it was my turn to rock, and for over 2 hours, these folks were burning up the dance floor! Around 11:30, the party ended and the guests went downstairs for a big sparkler sendoff. What a great reception! I can’t wait to see the photos from Hooman at Vesic Photography!
DJing is more than just showing up and pressing play. It’s also more than just knowing how to choose songs and mix them together. Begin a wedding DJ is about creating experiences and atmospheres. That’s what our DJing philosophy boils down to. We don’t want to just provide the perfect music. We want to create the perfect day. That’s why we excel in what we do. And this wedding was a perfect example of that. Working with this awesome couple to create the day they envisioned is something we’ll never forget. And it’s a service we provide all our Raleigh Weddings again and again.
