Don and Lew had the first legal same sex wedding that I’ve done here in NC! It took place at the historic and awesome Carolina Inn! And what a night it was! I introduced everyone to L.O.V.E. by Nat King Cole and then Don and Lew welcome everyone to their party! Next up was the blessing and a lovely seated dinner. As soon as they were clearing the plates, the guys came up to me and said, “Let’s put this thing in gear”! So I did! They went into their perfectly choreographed first dance to “So In Love” by Ella Fitzgerald and the crowd went wild, folks were throwing money (I think that’s a Greek think since Lew is Greek)! As soon as the first dance ended, it was party time and they provided me with a great playlist-everything from traditional Greek music to 70’s disco. What a blast getting to play songs like “Sussudio” by Phil Collins that I never get to play! The guests rocked for about 2 hours straight until we wrapped up the night with “Last Dance” by Donna Summer around 11:00. What an honor to DJ their reception!
DJing is more than just showing up and pressing play. It’s also more than just knowing how to choose songs and mix them together. Begin a wedding DJ is about creating experiences and atmospheres. That’s what our DJing philosophy boils down to. We don’t want to just provide the perfect music. We want to create the perfect day. That’s why we excel in what we do. And this wedding was a perfect example of that. Working with this awesome couple to create the day they envisioned is something we’ll never forget. And it’s a service we provide all our Raleigh Weddings again and again.
