Ashley and Andrew’s reception took place at a venue in Mebane, NC that I had never been to, but am glad I did! The Inn at Bingham School was gorgeous and the tent they set up out back for the reception was perfect. The day was hot, but fans and some lingering clouds actually made it nice underneath the tent.

Let me start from the beginning. The guests arrived around 5:30 for cocktails, followed by the bridal party that took some amazing photos around the property. After photos were done, it was time for the intros. The bridal party entered to “Jump Around” and then Ashley and Andrew entered to “With this Ring” by The Platters. Very appropriate I’d say! They went right into their first dance “I’ve Never Found a Girl” by Eddie Floyd. Next, Andrew and his mom danced to “The Greatest Love of All” by Whitney Houston. Ashley and her father danced to “That’s How Strong My Love Is” by Otis Redding (one of my favorite songs). And finally, Andrew and his 90 year old grandmother shared a danced to “The Way You Look Tonight” by Frank Sinatra. Since the heat was getting to the cake, we went ahead and had a cake cutting to “Sugar Pie Honey Bunch” by The Four Tops.

The father of the bride gave a hilarious “Southern” welcome to all of the groom’s friends and family from Michigan, the blessing was said and the buffet opened. Great job by Catering by Design as always. Can you say BBQ?!  Wow, they had a whole pig and everything! Once dinner ended, three amazing toasts were given and then it was time for the anniversary dance to open the dance floor. The longest married couple had almost 60 years of marriage! Finally, it was time to party, and from the first to the last song, it was ON! I had done Ashley’s sister’s wedding 5 years ago which rocked, and so did this one. I guess partying is in their DNA. Congrats Ashley and Andrew Deisler! Shout out to the team from Unveiled for keeping this event on time and organized.

DJing is more than just showing up and pressing play. It’s also more than just knowing how to choose songs and mix them together. Begin a wedding DJ is about creating experiences and atmospheres. That’s what our DJing philosophy boils down to. We don’t want to just provide the perfect music. We want to create the perfect day. That’s why we excel in what we do. And this wedding was a perfect example of that. Working with this awesome couple to create the day they envisioned is something we’ll never forget. And it’s a service we provide all our Raleigh Weddings again and again.
