Michelle and Aaron’s Friday reception at The Carolina Inn was great! Guests arrived around 6:00 for cocktails outside the ballroom and I was set up and ready inside. The doors opened around 7 and I got everyone lined up for the bridal party introductions. Everyone entered to “Party Rock Anthem” and that got the crowd rowdy. Lots of Aussies in attendance! Once the newlyweds hit the floor, it was time for the first dance, “Whatever It Is” by Zac Brown. Michelle and her dad danced next to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World” by Brother Iz and then Aaron and his mom danced to “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts. The father of the bride welcomed everyone, the blessing was said and dinner was served. Great food!
After dinner, there were a few toasts, the cake cutting and then open dancing! From song one, it was an awesome dance response. I played a little bit of everything and only stopped for the bouquet toss (“Single Ladies”) and garter toss (“American Woman”). We rocked all the way to the closing song “Wonderful Tonight” by Eric Clapton. Glow sticks closed out the night with a big departure for the new Mr. and Mrs. Ryder!
DJing is more than just showing up and pressing play. It’s also more than just knowing how to choose songs and mix them together. Begin a wedding DJ is about creating experiences and atmospheres. That’s what our DJing philosophy boils down to. We don’t want to just provide the perfect music. We want to create the perfect day. That’s why we excel in what we do. And this wedding was a perfect example of that. Working with this awesome couple to create the day they envisioned is something we’ll never forget. And it’s a service we provide all our Raleigh Weddings again and again.
