Ashley and Brian’s Friday evening wedding began with a 4:30pm ceremony inside Melrose Knitting Mill. Thank you for the air conditioning! Great choice for summer weddings by the way! I provided the music and the microphone for the officiant, and everything went great to start the day. After the ceremony, guests made their way down to Mulino’s courtyard area for cocktails while we “flipped” the room to make it dinner and dancing ready.
Guests came back up around 6pm for introductions. The bridal party entered to “24K Magic” by Bruno Mars and then Ashley and Brian made their entrance right after the lyric, “The Party don’t start til’ I walk in” from Kesha’s song “Tik Tok”. Everyone loved it! They went into their first dance right away (recommended) which was “My Best Friend” by Tim McGraw. Ashley’s parents welcomed the guests and dinner began.
After dinner, we picked things up with the father/daughter dance to “Daddy Dance with Me” by Krystal Keith and the mother/son dance to “Never Alone” by Lady Antebellum. A few toasts were given, the cake was cut to “Sugar” by Maroon 5 and then it was time to rage! Folks hit the dance floor right away and I went through tons of their requests of all types of genres. The only pause was for the bouquet toss (“Girlfight” by Brooke Valentine) and garter toss (“Pony” by Ginuwine). Back to more partying and more dancing and closing out the night with NSync’s “Bye Bye Bye” and a glow stick sendoff. What a night. What a party! Shout out to Jessica and her Southern Oak Events team for planning another great event!
DJing is more than just showing up and pressing play. It’s also more than just knowing how to choose songs and mix them together. Begin a wedding DJ is about creating experiences and atmospheres. That’s what our DJing philosophy boils down to. We don’t want to just provide the perfect music. We want to create the perfect day. That’s why we excel in what we do. And this wedding was a perfect example of that. Working with this awesome couple to create the day they envisioned is something we’ll never forget. And it’s a service we provide all our Raleigh Weddings again and again.
