Debbie and Eric had an awesome Friday wedding this past week. Their ceremony was in the early evening, the guests had a break, and then started showing at The Angus Barn around 6:30. They were treated to the usual amazing spread of apps and drinks there before I got everyone lined up for the grand introduction to “Shipping Up to Boston”. Once Debbie and Eric hit the dance floor, it was time for their first dance to “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley. What a great way to start the night. As their dance ended, the father of the bride gave an amazing toast and welcome that floored everyone there, even me!
Dinner was next, and I must say, this might have been the best food I’ve ever had at a wedding-steak and shrimp! Wow! I almost ate too much and had to take a nap vs. DJ! But I rallied for the next events which were the toasts, cake cutting, and then parent dances. Debbie and her dad danced to “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw and Eric and his mother danced to “Young at Heart” by Sinatra. After those dances, there were no more stops, it was straight up party time! Eric and Debbie both submitted great song lists with some awesome stuff from the 90’s that I have not played in forever! The guests were loving it! We rocked all the way until 11:00 when they headed out under a sparkler sendoff. What a great last wedding of November for me! Looking forward to photos and video from Cara & Kaz with F8 Photo Studios!
DJing is more than just showing up and pressing play. It’s also more than just knowing how to choose songs and mix them together. Begin a wedding DJ is about creating experiences and atmospheres. That’s what our DJing philosophy boils down to. We don’t want to just provide the perfect music. We want to create the perfect day. That’s why we excel in what we do. And this wedding was a perfect example of that. Working with this awesome couple to create the day they envisioned is something we’ll never forget. And it’s a service we provide all our Raleigh Weddings again and again.
