Sharon and Tim had their ceremony reception in a gorgeous location…their own backyard in Wilmington, NC right on the water! As soon as I pulled into town, I could smell the salt air and was so excited that summer was back!
The day began with the ceremony right along the break wall, you could literally hear the waves from the sound breaking the entire ceremony. They had great musicians for this portion of the day, and I ran the mic for the officiant. After the ceremony, the guests made their way up towards the pool and house for dinner and cocktails. The food stations looked incredible! After a few pictures, Sharon and Tim danced their first dance as husband and wife to “At Last” by Etta James. I played a little more background music, and they took a few more sunset pictures. Tim’s son Nick gave a great toast right around sundown and then Sharon and Tim cut the beautiful cake. After that, it was time to dance. The age of the crowd was all over the map, so I played a little bit of everything. It was a great dance floor! The only time I paused was for the bouquet toss (“Single Ladies”) and Garter Toss (“Hot In Herre”).
The night concluded with the guests lining the path to the driveway and waving glow sticks as Sharon and Tim walked by. What a night! It was so great seeing a lot of the people I knew from My Carolina and Wilmington days. I can’t wait to see the pics from KMI photography!
