Patricia Mendizabal and Greg Pattison were married on October 18th at the beautiful River Landing Country Club River Lodge in Wallace, NC. I was able to work with some terrific vendors, including Tamara Wade of Unforgettable Events by TWD who made everything so easy for us vendors by providing exceptional planning services and keeping everyone informed throughout the process. Tamara also designed and decorated the beautiful event space, which was gorgeous! Also, Riley Maclean and his team of photographers took some amazing photos and you can see a teaser here! The flowers were designed and provided by Bella Florals by Theresa and were gorgeous!
The wedding ceremony took place on the tee box of Hole #6 of the River Landing Country Club golf course with the winding river in the background. The bridal party made their way to the tee box to “Wildflowers” by Tom Petty which was perfect. The bride processed to her awaiting groom to “You Send Me” by Sam Cooke. After the beautiful ceremony, complete with a personal vows and a “notebook blessing” (Patricia and Greg are self-proclaimed notebook lovers!), the newlyweds made their way down the aisle to “You’re My Best Friend” by Queen.
Introducing the bride and groom to their families and guests at the River Lodge to “Modern Love” by David Bowie, they danced their first dance to “Be My Baby” by The Ronettes. Patricia then danced with her father to “In My Life” by The Beatles. Greg and his mother danced to “Stand By Me” by Ben. E. King. We opened up the dance floor with “Bailando” by Enrique Iglesias and people never left the dance floor! The bride had some special requests as her family is from Bolivia so I played some traditional Bolivian music that packed the dance floor. I played everything from the ’60’s to today’s hits and we danced for a solid two hours! It was a perfect day and night!
Patricia and I have been friends for several years as we worked together at Environmental Defense Fund before I left, so when we she and Greg got engaged, I like to think I was the first vendor she called to book! Whether or not that is true, I was so happy to be part of their wedding and hope that I helped to make it a little more entertaining and memorable for the bride and groom and their guests. I had so much DJing Patricia and Greg’s wedding that I almost forgot it was work!
We all at Bunn DJ Company wish Patricia and Greg all the best and a lifetime of happiness!
