Rachel and David’s reception took place on a Friday night at the lovely Fearrington Barn. The guests arrived to a playlist put together by the couple with some great bluegrass tunes on it. After about an hour, I got everyone lined up for the big introduction to “The Way You Make Me Feel” by Michael Jackson. David and Rachel then entered the room and went right into their choreographed first dance, “I Choose You” by Sara Bareilles. They really knew how to dance! Good stuff! Next, Rachel and her dad danced to a custom edit that Randy did, an instrumental that broke into “Old Time Rock N’ Roll” and then went back to the instrumental. People loved it! Next up, David and his mother danced to “I Wish You Love” by Frank Sinatra. After the welcome and blessing, the food stations opened. I had a chance to sample, and it was great! After dinner, we had the toasts and cake cutting (“Sugar Sugar” by The Archies) and then it was time to DANCE! They made a huge playlist, so I had a lot to choose from, but it was all good stuff and their guests came to dance.
We took a short break for the bouquet (“Single Ladies) and garter (“Eye of the Tiger”) and then more dancing until around 11:00 when we sent them off under sparklers. What a great party! I can’t wait to see the video from John Hayes and the photos from Krystal Kast.
