Heidi and Jonathan had what they called an “un-wedding” on the Friday of Easter weekend at The Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill. They actually had a cocktail hour before the ceremony to start the day! After the ceremony, guests made their way to the historic Old Well Room where I had music playing. Once everyone was inside, I introduced the couple to “Is This Love” by Bob Marley and everyone went wild! I passed the mic to Jonathan for him to welcome everyone before dinner.
After dinner, there were several great toasts and instead of a cake cutting, they had a huge dessert bar come out. After a couple of filler songs, I went into their first dance “I’ve Got You Under My Skin” by Frank Sinatra. They had practiced and did an awesome job! After that, it was time to party! I opened the dance floor with a few oldies, but then was all over the map-everything from Latin to country! This was a great crowd and they definitely came to dance. The night ended with a big sing-a-long circle to “Take Me Home, Country Road” by John Denver (there were a lot of folks from West Virginia there). Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Diaz! I can’t wait to post pics from Robin Lin, she’s great!
