Michelle and Chris had their ceremony at the gorgeous Arboretum in Pinehurst. I provided the music and microphones for the service and everything from the sound, to the chaplain, to the weather were absolutely perfect! It couldn’t have been a nicer ceremony. Afterwards, they had everyone take a big group photo behind the Arboretum. Meanwhile, I made my way over to the pavilion to start the cocktail music for the arriving guests.

Once the formal photos were done, I introduced the new Mr. and Mrs. Quayle into the pavilion and they went right into their first dance by one of my favorite bands, Kings of Leon! They did “Use Somebody” and I loved them for it. Next up, Michelle and her dad danced to a custom mix created by our own DJ Randy B of “My Michelle” by The Beatles, “Brown Eyed Girl” by Van Morrison, and then finally “Mustang Sally”. It was a surprise to Michelle and she loved it! Finally, Chris and his mother danced to “Simple Man” by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

After the dances, the buffet by White Rabbit Catering opened which included a low country boil and pig-picking. Now that’s my kind of grub! As soon as everyone got their food and were seated, the best man gave a short, but sweet toast and then dinner continued. As dinner came to a close, the cake was cut, and then it was time to party! They had a great list of requests and some of the guests requested songs that I had not played in a while that went over great (“Your Love” by The Outfield and “Family Tradition” by Hank Jr.). Good stuff! These folks partied right up until the very end when Chris and Michelle drove off in a classic car. I can’t wait to see the images from Christina Lima. She was great to work with.
