Tips For Planning The Perfect Party
- Hire a DJ from Bunn DJ Company!
- For a wedding, keep in mind where the bride and groom will be; that’s where the guests will be and congregate.
- Don’t micromanage the timeline. We need some details but let us use our experience when it comes to day-of. We do need the order of events but not necessarily the exact time for each.
- If there are older guests, try not to sit them close or right in front of the speaker(s).
- Don’t put the DJ in an obscure location or corner. The DJ needs to be easily visible and near the dance floor so they can see it to get a feel for the crowd.
- If you have lighting, keep in mind that darker is better for the dance floor area. Use dimmers for chandeliers, cafe lighting, etc.
- If you have a bar at the event, please put it in the main room; same for a dessert table. You want to keep people in the main room with all of the action.
- If you are having a photo booth, have it near the dance floor or bar, not outside in a different room if possible.
- When picking your songs for your event, take into account the guests and what you think they will like to hear.
- A party should end when it shouldn’t end, not when it has to. We want to leave the guests
wanting more. - If you have to cut corners on your budget, don’t skimp on your entertainment; it can make or break your event.
- If there are a lot of children at the event, have something for them to do, like: coloring books, watch a movie, games, babysitter, etc.
- When picking your music, you don’t have to overdo it. Pick 20 or so songs you like and a few you don’t and let us fill in from there.
- If you are picking songs for your first dance and parents’ dances, please let the DJ know if there is a different version than the popular one you are dancing to.
