Uplights are lights that are on the ground that shine up walls, curtains, artwork, etc., and make them glow. Also, uplights can be hung from the ceiling and project down if the venue offers the option. Not only in your ceremony or reception room but uplights can also be placed on the outside of the venue to portray a specific look as guests arrive.

From subtle uplighting to more dynamic lighting that helps the dance floor come alive, we offer options that shape the feel of the room. Depending on the space and the event, we can also talk through decorative lighting and other visual enhancements.

Uplighting can undoubtedly transform your wedding venue to match your wedding theme from a classy event to a nightclub feel. The first consideration in uplighting rental costs is the size of the room and the location of the lighting. Do you want to light up the ceremony location, reception venue as well as the outside of the venue?

Uplighting rental packages will vary depending on the amount of space you wish to highlight. Talk to your San Diego DJ about your event space and recommendations to satisfy your style. That being said, our most popular wedding package includes wireless uplighting.

The quick answer is, no. Just being with family and friends is enough for any event. BUT, if you want to set the mood or create a party environment, then extra lighting is the best way to transform your party venue.

Bunn DJ San Diego offers wireless uplights. Thus, they can be placed anywhere within the room. However, our lighting tech will disburse them throughout the room so that it doesn’t look tacky.

You will want to consider adding uplighting to your party or reception when 1. the location is a party hot spot and you don’t want it to look like every other event held there, 2. the location doesn’t fit the theme of your wedding or the decor is dated and 3. you wish to highlight the beautiful architectural features of the room.
