• Enjoy two days of live music from national acts, line dancing, food vendors, full bars – even mechanical bull riding at the Old Town Music Festival. This outdoor festival is held in June at The Stampede, the West Coast’s largest country music venue.
• Southern California is known for cruisin’ classic cars – American Graffiti, anyone? April’s annual Temecula Rod Run starts on a Friday evening and then picks back up on Saturday. With over 600 cars on display, the run attracts thousands of car enthusiasts.
• Imagine taking a scenic ride in a hot air balloon. The Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival is held over 3 June days in nearby Winchester. Rather stay on the ground? Then enjoy the beautiful sites and your favorite adult beverage.
• Another popular annual event close to Temecula is the Fallbrook Avocado Festival. While not an official designation, Fallbrook is known as something of a world capital when it comes to avocados. The festival takes place in April.
• Are you ready for the Reality Rally? Founded by Temecula resident and Survivor contestant Gillian Larson, this 3-day event in May features teams canvassing Old Town in an “Amazing Race” format. Race with a Reality TV star and raise money in the fight against cancer.
• Chalk art is an amazing medium and Temecula celebrates in style with a September 2-day Art & Street Painting Festival. Visit the asphalt gallery and view the works of SoCal’s best chalk artists.
• Temecula Amphitheater often plays host to the Temecula Valley Symphony with free concerts. The symphony has a devoted local following and features internationally acclaimed musicians.
• The area’s perfect blend of climate and soil has produced some of the best wines. While it’s not Napa, the town is famous for its countless wineries and vineyards. You’ll find food, wine, and craft brew festivals and events throughout the year in Temecula Valley Wine Country, Old Town Temecula, and Pechanga Resort Casino.
