About Overlook Barn

Overlook Barn offers an enchanting mix of rustic charm and luxury, perched atop Beech Mountain. The main barn, Overlook Barn, features stunning 30-foot vaulted ceilings with exposed wood beams and can accommodate up to 250 guests for a seated dinner.

The space is designed with upscale, yet rustic, elegance in mind, making it a Pinterest-perfect setting with plenty of natural light, string lighting, and scenic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Overlook Barn has several unique spaces, including Mary’s Meadow, an outdoor ceremony area with panoramic mountain views, perfect for sunset photos. It can accommodate larger outdoor events with up to 500 guests. If you’re looking for a more intimate indoor option, Cliffside Barn offers cozy spaces for smaller ceremonies or cocktail hours.

Few ceremony locations in North Carolina rival the breathtaking views of Mary’s Meadow. We discreetly set up to the side of the ceremony stage urther out in the meadow, ensuring crystalclear microphones and music without obstructing the view or your photos.

For a more intimate and weather-protected option, Cliffside Barn provides a cozy setting with equally incredible views. We set up at the back of the barn, providing seamless sound coverage so every guest hears your vows.

Overlook Barn offers multiple great layouts for your dance floor and DJ setup:

  • In the center of the barn, creating a lively focal point for guests.
  • Just inside the large barn doors, welcoming guests into the party as soon as they enter.
  • In the pavilion, for a more intimate dance party with a cozy, high-energy atmosphere.

No matter where you place the dance floor, we always recommend setting the DJ right beside it to maintain the best sound quality and energy. This setup allows us to read the crowd, adjust the vibe in real-time, and keep the party going all night long.

Cocktail hour at Cliffside Barn is always a hit, whether inside or on the covered deck overlooking the mountains. We provide a speaker setup with a curated playlist, keeping the atmosphere light and celebratory while guests enjoy drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and breathtaking photo opportunities.

The renovated horse stalls at Overlook Barn are an ideal location for a photo booth. This tucked away space lets guests step aside for fun pictures while still being close enough to the action to hear the music and stay engaged with the party.
