Brakefield At Riverwalk in SC Wedding Venue

Grace Stanbro and John Jones were married on a beautiful spring day at Brakefield at River Walk in Rock Hill, SC. The newlyweds were joined by about 150 of the closest friends and family who all enjoyed the perfect day. The bride and groom exchanged beautiful vows on the overlook with the Catawba River as a backdrop.

I was able to work with Ashley Louise Seitz of Ashley Louise Photography who was amazing to work with and took some gorgeous pictures. I cannot wait to see the final shots! You can also check out some of the guests’ pics on Instagram using the hashtag #jonesingtogetmarried.

After guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the patio, everyone headed into the Grand Hall where I introduced the bridesmaids, groomsmen, and the new Mr. and Mrs. John Jones to “Best Day of My Life” by American Authors. Grace and John danced their first dance as husband and wife to “Perfect Storm” by Brad Paisley. Grace then danced with her father to “When You Need Me” by Bruce Springsteen and there was not a dry eye in the room. John and his mother then danced to “The Baby” by Blake Shelton. The couple invited other fathers and daughters and mothers and sons to join them about halfway through their respective songs, which was a really nice touch.

Grace and John had a great playlist that allowed me to get a really good idea as to what kinds of music they wanted. After a beautiful live performance of Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” by the bride’s cousins, we opened up the dance floor with “Holidae In” by Chingy and everyone jumped on the dance floor and never left for more than two hours! When I played “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC, everyone ran to the bar and ran back to play the drinking game that is associated with the song which was a lot of fun. The entire Stanbro family formed a circle and sang “Bohemian Rhapsody” and sang it surprisingly well! John even sang a few songs to his new bride, including some Garth Brooks, Old Crow Medicine Show, and Lynyrd Skynyrd, and I had no idea he could sing like that!

Everyone had a great time and I am so thankful to have been a part of their perfect day. Grace and John were amazing and so easy to work with, and those are the days when it does not feel like work at all! I had so much fun, I just hope they and their guests had as much fun as I did!

We all at Bunn DJ Company wish Grace and John all the best and a lifetime of happiness!

DJing is more than just showing up and pressing play. It’s also more than just knowing how to choose songs and mix them together. Begin a wedding DJ is about creating experiences and atmospheres. That’s what our DJing philosophy boils down to. We don’t want to just provide the perfect music. We want to create the perfect day. That’s why we excel in what we do. And this wedding was a perfect example of that. Working with this awesome couple to create the day they envisioned is something we’ll never forget. And it’s a service we provide through all our Charleston Wedding DJs again and again.
