McCrady’s in Charleston, SC Wedding Venue

Emily and Ryan made the trip from Massachusetts for their Charleston wedding at McCrady’s Restaurant in downtown Charleston. The bride and groom were joined by about 85 of their closest family and friends who enjoyed a beautiful spring day in Charleston.

I was able to work with some awesome vendors on this one! Working with Christy Loftin and her staff was amazing and amazingly simple…as it always is! Also, it was great to work with the very talented Sara Grant of Sara Bee Photography, cannot wait to see the final shots!

After guests enjoyed a beautiful ceremony, they made their way into the main room to enjoy some hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. Shortly thereafter, I introduced the newlyweds to Avicii’s “Levels” and they then danced their first dance as husband and wife to one of my favorites, “I Choose You” by Sara Bareilles. About halfway through their first dance, Emily and Ryan invited their parents to join in with them, which was a nice touch. After everyone then enjoyed an amazing dinner and some funny, heartfelt toasts, Emily danced with her father and Ryan danced with his mother to “The Way You Look Tonight” by Frank Sinatra.

We then opened up the dance floor, and to start things off, I played “Can’t Get Enough of Your Love” by Barry White and everyone jumped on the dance floor! We kept it high energy most of the evening, only slowing down for some Ray LaMontagne and Ed Sheeran. I also mixed in a couple of songs from the Capital Cities and One Direction variety for Emily’s nieces and nephews. I played everything from Calvin Harris and Al Green to Pitbull and The Rolling Stones to Ellie Goulding and Bruno Mars. For their last song of the night, Emily and Ryan chose “The Time” by Black Eyed Peas, another one of my favorite end-of-the-night songs! They then had a sparkler exit down the alley before heading to a bar down the street. I am sure those sparkler pictures will be amazing!

Emily and Ryan were so easy and great to work with and so much fun. From the first time, we talked I knew their wedding would be a great time! It was a privilege to get to know them and be part of their special day. I just hope they and their guests had as much fun as I did!

We all at Bunn DJ Company wish Emily and Ryan all the best and a lifetime of happiness!
