Seabrook Island Club in Johns Island, SC Wedding Venue

Jessica Smith and KJ Randhawa were married in a beautiful ocean-side ceremony at Seabrook Island Club.

Jessica and KJ were joined at the beautiful venue by about 75 of their closest family and friends for their ceremony and reception. The couple was married on the Ocean Terrace on what was a perfect day for a wedding with the waves crashing on the rocks below and the ocean as a backdrop. Jessica’s father escorted her down the aisle while “When I’m with You” by Ben Rector played. Pastor Daniel Grothe performed a beautiful ceremony that included communion and a feet-washing ceremony.

Shortly after the ceremony, I introduced the new Mr. and Mrs. KJ Randhawa to Ben Rector’s “White Dress.” The newlyweds had their first dance as husband and wife to OneRepublic’s “All This Time.” Jessica and her father then danced to “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw. After a delicious buffet and a few heartfelt and tearful toasts, we opened up the dance floor and they were a dancing crowd from the beginning. I played everything from Nat King Cole and Taylor Swift to Michael Jackson and Timbaland, to Meghan Trainor and Blake Shelton. The groom and groomsmen even did a choreographed dance to “Takin’ Care of Business” by Bachman-Turner Overdrive which was awesome! The groom then had to beat each groomsman in a dance-off to “Cotton-eyed Joe” in order to get his bride back after she was “stolen” by the best man, which he did, of course, in style.

As guests exited the reception to get into position for the big sendoff, Jessica and KJ have a final dance together to Brad Paisley’s “Then” which was a perfect ending to a remarkable evening, and a great idea, allowing them a moment to themselves and an opportunity to take in the day’s events.

Cameron Faye of Cameron Faye Photography took some amazing pictures of the ceremony and reception. You can see some of the preview photos of Jessica and KJ here. I cannot wait to see the final shots!

Needle + Thread provided awesome videography services and I can’t wait to see the trailer and final movie!

Kathleen McCormack and her staff at Seabrook Island Club were amazing to work with and helped coordinate all of the day’s events and schedule. I couldn’t have done my job without Kathleen’s help!

It was a beautiful day and a beautiful wedding with a beautiful couple. We had a lot of fun, they were perfect to work with, and I am honored to have had the opportunity to be their DJ and to have been part of Jessica and KJ’s special day! We wish for KJ’s safe return home following his tour with the Air Force and wish them all the best and a lifetime of happiness!

DJing is more than just showing up and pressing play. It’s also more than just knowing how to choose songs and mix them together. Begin a wedding DJ is about creating experiences and atmospheres. That’s what our DJing philosophy boils down to. We don’t want to just provide the perfect music. We want to create the perfect day. That’s why we excel in what we do. And this wedding was a perfect example of that. Working with this awesome couple to create the day they envisioned is something we’ll never forget. And it’s a service we provide through all our Charleston Wedding DJs again and again.
