Eddie & Madeleine’s Wedding At 1705 East
Eddie and Madeleine had their reception and ceremony at 1705 East right here in Raleigh, NC and I was lucky enough to be their wedding DJ. It’s rare that I get to do a friend’s wedding, so this one was special! Madeleine has been my accountant for years, and she is great at keeping me out of trouble. Now it was my turn to repay her for all of her hard work and for putting up with my nonsense!
The Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony, officiated by Ed Sansbury, was perfect. The couple entered together to Vitamin String Quartet’s cover of Madonna’s “Crazy for You”. The whole ceremony was short, sweet…and funny. Ed always delivers great service. As the ceremony wrapped up to the sounds of Stevie Wonder’s “Signed Sealed Delivered”, the guests made their way to another side of the property for cocktails.
The First Dance and Dinner
After about an hour, during which we flipped the room from ceremony to dinner and dancing, the guest came back in. I only intoduced the couple to “Shape of You” by Ed Sheeran and then they went into their first dance “From This Moment” by Shania Twain. After about 2 minutes, I invited all of the guests to join them. I love this move. Of course, the couple agreed to it first! Eddie’s mother gave a brief blessing and then the incredible Rocky Top Catering food stations opened.
The Dancing
As dinner wrapped, the party started and for 2.5 hours straight, these folks raged. What a crowd. I had to tape my laptop to the stand because I thought it was going to get knocked off from the pandemonium! I’m looking forward to seeing even more incredible photos from Neil Boyd. Congrats to Eddie and Madeleine! Killer wedding guys! Now tell me how to make more money M!
