Merry Hill – Mebane, NC Wedding Venue
Tyler and Madison’s reception and ceremony both took place at the incredible Merry Hill in Mebane, NC. The day was a little hot, but at least it wasn’t a monsoon-like the one that occurred the day before during their rehearsal! Joe provided the sound for the ceremony. The mic on the officiant, the mic on a stand for the reader, and the couple picked out some great music. All went well. Afterward, the speakers turned around under a separate tent and used it for the cocktail hour. As folks mingled and had their picture taken in the ZimZoom photo booth, drinks flowed and music played.
As cocktail hour wrapped, guests made their way under two other tents for the introductions. Instead of announcing each member of the bridal party, they just wanted me to introduce them as a group. They came into “Higher Ground” by TNGHT which was actually really hyped! When Madison and Tyler entered, the place went nuts. I knew this was going to be a good night. They went right into their first dance which started out slow for about 35 seconds and then I cut in “Love On Top” by Beyonce and they went into their choreographed dance. They killed! Madison and her dad then danced to “To Sir With Love” by Lulu and Tyler and his mother danced to “Que Sera” by Sly and The Family Stone. The parents welcome everyone, the blessing over the challah occurred, and then the amazing dinner came out provided by Beau Catering.
As dinner wrapped, several family members gave amazing toasts and then Tyler and Madison thanked everyone for coming. Next, they cut the cake and then were eager to get to the dancing! We started the night with The Hora and never looked back. The dance floor stayed packed for 2 plus hours! The night ended with a big, rowdy sparkler departure! Shout out to Cheryl Ann and her crew with Kast Events. They did a phenomenal job on a very complex wedding. Great night!
